Project overview
The Sydney Metro City & Southwest project comprises 30 km of metro rail line that will run from Chatswood in newly constructed twin railway tunnels under Sydney Harbour, through new underground stations in the CBD, and beyond to the Bankstown in the southwest. New stations will be delivered at Crows Nest, Victoria Cross, Barangaroo, Martin Place, Pitt Street, and Waterloo.
Our involvement
The EMM acoustics team were engaged to provide independent specialist advice on all facets of construction noise and vibration to the New South Wales Department of Planning and Environment and Sydney Metro. The team will provide acoustic advisory services throughout construction design, details planning, and delivery of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project. The objective of the acoustic advisory role is to assist the project minimise its environmental impacts, meet relevant approval conditions and predictions, and ensure the basis for the environmental impact statement (EIS) approval are adhered to. The team will also monitor compliance with the Sydney Metro City & Southwest Construction Noise and Vibration Strategy.
