Health, Safety & Wellbeing

Our safety philosophy reflects a core belief that when individuals and teams are healthy and well, safety will be enabled, observable and an everyday aspect of our culture

Our goal is for our people to thrive at work and at play. We encourage our people to find the balance that makes most sense for them, to focus on the mental and physical wellbeing of themselves and their team, and to be proactive safety leaders in their everyday work moments. By maintaining this focus throughout our workday we know our team can take their true selves back home and be ready to embrace all the other important things in their lives.

We lead safety in partnership with our clients, subcontractors, and the extended EMM team. Those who lead this culture are nominated by their peers for our HSW Champions Award and recognised as leaders who we wish to celebrate.

We don’t “do” safety, we ‘feel’ safety.

EMM is ISO 450001 certified and committed to continuing the evolution of our Health, Safety & Wellbeing culture. We empower a safety-first mindset in our people, develop right sized systems and processes and focus on building capability in our teams to lead HSW risk mitigation on projects.

Our health, safety and wellbeing culture can be seen and heard through open communication, trust, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

"We appreciate the commitment to safety that Lachy brings to our team and the wider company. His considerate and thoughtful approach to all aspects of field work allow him to make cool and calm decisions about safety when onsite. He is an absolute safety role model and epitomizes "Safety First". He spends a lot of time in the field and is always SO well prepared - everything covered off, documentation in place, required safety equipment and risks well considered and mitigated.
