Due to some outstanding project wins we now have an opportunity for a graduate, or early career, Air Quality Consultant to join our team in Sydney. Sometimes good things really do come to those who wait!

What will you be working on:
As an Air Quality Consultant with EMM you will work on a range of interesting and challenging projects comprising both field and office work. We will provide you with opportunities to develop your knowledge whilst working alongside and being mentored by supportive and passionate experienced professionals. You will have the opportunity to work within different sectors including transport, energy, mining and extractive industries, infrastructure, land development and agriculture.

We will develop your skills in:

  • air pollution emission quantification techniques and procedures;
  • meteorological data processing and modelling;
  • atmospheric dispersion models modelling (including AERMOD, CALPUFF and GRAL);
  • analysis of large monitoring and modelling datasets using tools such as openair;
  • quantification and assessment of greenhouse gas emissions; and
  • climate change risk analysis.

 What will you bring to the role:

We are seeking a dynamic, curious and enthusiastic individual, who possesses strong communication skills, and the ability to work well with colleagues, clients and contractors. To be successful in this position you will be an enthusiastic team player who is able to work autonomously but also thrive working as part of a team. You will demonstrate:

  • a positive can-do attitude, with a flair for delivering exceptional client service;
  • completed of a relevant degree within the past 2 years;
  • strong written and oral communication skills;
  • ability to research, prepare documentation and draw conclusions to support recommendations for review;
  • be able to show initiative and be proactive;
  • highly organised and able to handle multiple tasks / projects; and
  • ability to manage own time and priorities and assist the rest of the team to meet project objectives in a deadline driven work environment.
