EMM Consulting is pleased to announce the expansion of our national technical capability with the introduction of specialist communication and engagement services.
Recognised industry practitioner Sharon Suzor has been appointed to lead the team and will work closely with the company’s multidisciplinary teams to achieve overarching project delivery objectives.
Speaking on the expanded capability, Director Duncan Peake, said the Communication and Engagement service offering strengthens and diversifies the support we can provide clients.
“We are excited to welcome Sharon, who I know will be focussed on helping clients achieve positive community and project outcomes. Planning and implementing genuine stakeholder and community engagement well are essential ingredients to progressing projects successfully through to delivery. We are really pleased EMM has now enhanced this capability and capacity to help our clients in this space.”
With over 20 years’ experience, Sharon joins EMM with extensive experience across major planning, design and construction infrastructure projects and programs, including active transport, road, rail, powerline and renewable energy projects. Expanding the existing capability within the company, Sharon’s expertise includes convening internal and external stakeholder meetings, information sessions, public meetings, round-table discussions and developing traditional and digital consultation tools and accessible communication materials.
Sharon commenced her career in the industry working within the Education sector as a Communication Coordinator following the completion of a Bachelor of Business Communication. Since launching her career, Sharon has worked in the public sector holding various Communication and Consultation roles before her most recent role with a global infrastructure consulting firm as National Practice Leader.
Sharon is joined by the recent appointment of Sam Ezzy who transitioned to the team earlier this year after providing support to the Social Impact Assessment team for the past 12 months.
This technical expansion is in line with the company’s execution of its strategy to strengthen and diversify our national environmental and planning support across the mining, infrastructure, energy and transport sectors.
