Maintaining our focus on creating opportunities for personal and career growth for our people, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Nicola Fry as Water Division Leader and Nick Travers as Land Division Leader.
Nicola Fry has over sixteen years’ industry experience and first commenced at EMM in 2016. Over the past five years Nicola has played a key role in the leadership of the groundwater team with a particular focus on engagement of people and efficient systems for business operations and communication. Nicola is currently on maternity leave and will return in early 2022.
In the interim, Sam Cook will act as the Water Division Leader. Sam has also played a key role in the Division since joining the company in 2014 including the leadership of people and establishing the WA office for EMM.
Nick Travers joined the company in 2019 and has fulfilled various management roles across the waste and mining sectors throughout his 18-year career. Nick was appointed to the Mining Market Leader role in March 2021, a testament to his approach in driving effective collaboration within the division, technical delivery and focus on business development. Since 2019, Nick has led the EMM Rehabilitation, and Soil team through the start-up phase and has been instrumental in cross-division collaboration for major projects including mine closure work.
The two divisions were formerly led by Liz Webb who has recently been appointed to the role of CEO and Managing Director from 1 July. During her leadership, the team has evolved from a core groundwater team in NSW to a national team with an expanded groundwater, geochemistry, surface water, contaminated land and rehabilitation expertise.
