EMM Consulting is pleased to welcome the senior appointment of experienced mining consultant Danie Richter as an Associate based in the company’s Perth office.
With a distinguished career in both industry regulation and consulting, Danie’s brings 28 years’ expertise in the areas of environmental impact assessments, statutory approvals, management plans and management systems in the mining and metallurgical sector. He is skilled in the total lifecycle management of resources assets and has a strong focus on optimising the environmental performance, compliance and sustainability of assets through practical management interventions.
Commencing his career with the Department of Minerals and Energy in South Africa, Danie worked extensively across Southern Africa as a mining environmental specialist on a diverse range of mine closure, approvals, strategic tailing management and compliance assurance projects. He has now called Perth home for the past 14 years where he has led multidisciplinary teams for approvals, feasibility and compliance and due diligence engagements for BHP Billiton, the Chiyoda Browse LNG JV and Liberty Primary Steel.
