Nicola Fry

As Division Leader, Nicola provides strategic oversight in the growth and direction of the surface water and groundwater teams.  As a member of the Senior Leadership Group, Nicola leads collaboration across disciplines and is highly experienced in building strategic and successful client relationships.

Since joining EMM in 2016, Nicola has played a key role in the leadership of the groundwater team with a particular focus on engagement of people and efficient systems for business operations and communication.  She has worked for over 16 years’ as a hydrogeologist and geologist, including in water quality and hydrogeological assessments, and design and implementation of water management programs.  This expertise spans a range of sectors including oil and gas, energy, and international development assistance in Australia, South Pacific, Africa, and South America. Nicola is also an accomplished science communicator with a strong standing with a range of stakeholders including regulators, government, and community.

Nicola holds a Master of Science Communication, Master of Engineering Studies (Hydrogeology and Groundwater Management), Bachelor of Science (Hons I) (Geology and Chemistry), and is a member of the International Association of Hydrogeologists. She is an advocate for diversity, inclusion, flexibility and innovation.
