With 15 years of experience as a consulting ecologist, Nathan leads the EMM team that focuses on geographic information systems (GIS), natural ecology and cultural.
Nathan has managed biodiversity projects throughout south-eastern Australia, assessing development sites with widely diverse biogeography, including threatened animal and plant species. He is a recognised expert in biodiversity offsets policy and schemes. He is a leading Biobanking and Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) Assessor of the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme.
Nathan works closely with clients and projects in mining and extraction, energy and renewable energy, road infrastructure, agricultural industries and urban and regional housing and commercial construction. He combines his specialist knowledge with a pragmatic approach to each project. As Divisional Leader, he advises on environmental impact assessments, monitoring and management across the board.
Nathan has a Bachelor of Science and Graduate Diploma (Biological Sciences) University of NSW. He is a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand, a member of EIANZ (Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand) and a practising member of ECA (Ecological Consultants Association NSW). On request, he conducts peer reviews and gives evidence as an expert witness.
