David Snashall

David is one of the leading Impact Assessment practitioners in Australia, with over 30 years’ experience in assessing the environmental, social, and economic impacts of major capital projects in Australia and globally.

A dynamic and recognised leader in his field, David has a strong track record in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions for clients in the renewable energy; transmission and pipeline; and oil and gas sectors.

David has worked on landmark projects in Australia including QCLNG, Shell Prelude, Chevron’s Gorgon and globally on oil and gas and mining projects in PNG, Thailand, China, Guinea and Angola amongst others. He has verified global sustainability reports for companies including BHP Billiton and Xstrata.  David also served as a Liaison Delegate at the global, CEO-led World Business Council for Sustainable Development over a six-year period, where he was the Co-Chair of the Basic Needs and Human Rights Working Group.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics, Masters of Environmental Planning and is a fellow of the Australian Planning Institute.
