Commitment to our community

EMM influences the social, economic and physical environment through the consulting services we provide. However, we are committed to building a legacy that improves our environment and community, leaving it stronger for future generations. This ethos is fully aligned with our purpose of creating opportunities. To create opportunities is this area, we want to be thought and industry leaders in developing a culture, not a program. We pursue this through five key pillars:

  1. Altruism
  2. Diversity
  3. Health & Wellbeing
  4. Reconciliation
  5. Sustainability

Through these five pillars, we empower our people to work with us to make a positive and lasting difference which we believe enhances EMM’s people and business, but ultimately gives back to our community now and into the future.

We aim to make a positive contribution by promoting sustainable development and the continued prevention and reduction of adverse environmental impacts.

Our Community Hub pillars have long been at the heart EMM. These have now evolved further in response to the 2019/2020 bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic. We are already proud supporters of a variety of charitable organisations through our Health & Wellbeing pillar. These include annual participation in SurfAid, Oxfam Trailwalker, City2Surf, Steptember and MS Sydney to Wollongong charity bike ride.

In addition, we are already proud pledge partners of Soldier On via our Altruism pillar, which seeks to support Australian Defence veterans and their families.

EMM also has a Memorandum of Understanding with Indigeco which presents a unique offering to the infrastructure and construction sectors, especially in meeting government indigenous-procurement policies. Our partnership is focused on promoting indigenous employment and training and is already active in projects being undertaken for the NSW government.
