Limondale, Hillston and Hay Sun Farms

Projects

Overview

EMM has a successful track record with recent SSD solar farm projects in NSW. EMM prepared the environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Limondale Sun Farm, a large-scale solar PV generation facility close to the town of Balranald in south-western NSW, which was approved by DPE on 31 August 2017. In addition, the Hillston and Hay sun farms in south-western NSW were approved by the Minister for Planning on 26 October 2017 and 20 December 2017, respectively. Services provided by EMM included planning and approvals management, preparation of the EIS, preparation of technical studies including visual, traffic and noise assessments and community and government stakeholder engagement. Once constructed, these projects will directly contribute to the State’s renewable energy targets and the objectives of the NSW Government’s Renewable Energy Action Plan. These projects will also provide direct and indirect benefits to local economies and create employment opportunities in regional Australia.
