Latest Appointment of Industry Leaders to the EMM Team

We’re pleased to announce the recent addition of not one, but four, industry leaders to the EMM team! They each bring with them fascinating and exceptional careers, along with skill sets that will be invaluable to our clients.

Ruth Baker – Associate Director, Environmental Assessment and Management

Ruth Baker brings almost two decades of experience in environmental impact assessments, strategic planning and environmental advice, social impact assessments and more. She’s participated in a wide range of notable projects during her already storied career, including the Sydney Football Stadium redevelopment and conducting a technical review of construction environmental management plans for the West Sydney Airport.

She has an incredible amount of project direction and management experience in the development of approval strategies and the preparation of EIAs for large projects and is a welcome addition to EMM.

Andrew Woidt – Associate Environmental Assessment and Management

Andrew Woidt is an environmental professional with over 14 years of experience and a deep, multi-disciplined and highly technical background. He’s worked across the mining and resources, land development and civil construction industries and his indelible mark has been left on each of them over time.

Most notably, Andrew has extensive experience in not only environmental impact assessments but also environmental management, compliance, project management, regulatory assessments and regulatory approvals – making him an incredibly valuable addition to the EMM team.

Shannon Hewett – Snowy WHS Manager

Shannon Hewett is a Work, Health and Safety specialist with an extensive background in fire, rescue and safety management processes – both within the government and for many notable private organisations. During his career, he’s made it a point of pride to build up deep and meaningful relationships with both employees and key stakeholders in organisations across all levels.

He actively participates in promoting both innovation and the adoption of new best practices and has worked for Gold Security International, the Department of Fire & Emergency Services, the Federal Department of Agriculture and Water Resources and more – all of which has led him to the latest chapter in his career, taking on the role of Snowy WHS Manager at EMM.

Nardia Grant – Associate, Rehabilitation and Closure

Nardia Grant is a specialist in environmental science management and brings with her over a decade of experience in compliance management, mine site rehabilitation, research for the mining industry and beyond. One of the most notable chapters in her career to date has to do with her time with the Department of Agriculture & Food Waste, where she helped to research alternative uses for Bauxite mine waste and minimise runoff into catchments.

Above all else, Nardia has made a name for herself when it comes to delivering results that exceed expectations – even when faced with significant budgeting and resource constraints – and her ability to successfully manage heavy and diverse workloads in this field and across different organisations is second to none.

“We are thrilled to welcome industry leaders, Ruth, Nardia, Andrew and Shannon to EMM. Having a mix of client, regulator and consulting experience they provide further strength and capacity to our EA&M, WHS and Rehabilitation and Closure Services.”

-Luke Stewart, Managing Director

Indeed, with strategic new hires like these joining the already robust and versatile EMM team, there is truly no limit to what we can accomplish, as a whole, moving forward.
