John is a lifetime career hydrogeologist with encyclopaedic technical knowledge of the hydrogeology of Eastern Australia gained from specialist management roles in public and private corporations and consultancies.
John has all-embracing experience of the critical role of hydrogeology in environmental planning and management and in environmental assessment and management of development projects. He has provided strategic advice to government on projects including NSW Aquifer Interference Policy and the Millennium Drought groundwater studies for Greater Sydney Region.
As National Technical Leader, John provides knowledge, insight and wisdom to EMM consultants working on projects where water is a factor. He advises on projects in water resources, mining, energy and major infrastructure, groundwater, water supply, salinity and water quality, contaminated sites and sewerage disposal and reuse.
John has a Bachelor of Science (Geology) and Certificate in Engineering Hydrology and Groundwater Hydrology, University of NSW. He served on the executive of IAH (International Association of Hydrogeologists), ADITC (Australian Drilling Industry Training Committee) and ACLCA (Australian Contaminated Lands Consultants Association).
